Multisig: why 2-of-3 works
A multisig wallet needs more than one key to move the coins. The classic is 2-of-3: three keys exist, and any two together can approve a spend. Tap the keys below and watch the rule enforce itself.
The three keys below are randomly generated in your browser and thrown away when you leave. Never enter your real seed or keys anywhere. The signing here is simulated to show the threshold rule.
Generate three throwaway keys and form a real 2-of-3 wallet.
Runs entirely in your browser · nothing is sent, saved, or logged.
Tap keys to sign a spend — you need any 2 of 3:
No single key can move the coins — so a thief who steals one key (or one device that fails) gets nothing. And you can lose any one key entirely and still spend with the other two. That's why multisig is "a difference in kind, not degree": you remove the single point of failure on both sides at once.
